I suck at blogging

But I'm still here! LOL

We're enjoying a very, very white Christmas in the mountains of New Mexico with family. I'll have to snap some pictures. There's around 18 inches of snow on the ground now and there's another 6-24 in the forecast between now and Friday. It's gorgeous! And fortunately, they're quite adept at dealing with snow here, so the roads are plowed just as quickly as they're covered.

I'm very excited for Christmas with the munchkins tomorrow!

Help keep small businesses in business!!

The CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) was created in response to all of the imported toys tainted with lead paint. While the intention is a good one, the act was not well thought out. As the act stands, it will require all businesses who create products for children to have each product tested for lead. This includes retired couples who make toys and sell at craft fairs, our wonderful moms who make cloth diapers, and a host of other small businesses.

What does this mean to you? It means that most, if not all, of the moms you look to for these products will be out of business due to these laws.

Get involved today by sending a letter to your Senator and Representative! Don't allow the government to put small businesses out of business because corporate American cannot or will not take responsibility for their products and ensure their safety!

Please, post this on your blogs and make sure that all of your friends and family who choose to support small businesses know about this issue.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We finally got our Christmas decorations up today. Bella had such a good time helping us decorate! She took such pleasure in putting decorations on the tree and hanging lights. Too cute!

It's like she flipped a switch or something, because she's been in big girl panties all day long without any accidents. So exciting! We even went out to lunch and then to Wal-Mart and she stayed dry. Maybe we're finally on our way.

My parents, sister, nephew, my kids and I are taking the kids to Rhema tonight to look at the Christmas lights. Should be fun!

I could get used to this!

I woke up with sick kiddos this morning, so I've been home with them all day, working from home. I could so get used to this! I emptied and loaded the dishwasher while on a conference call and have answered phone calls and fielded e-mails without ever changing out of my pajamas. Talk about business casual! The only thing that would make it better is if I could sneak a nap in, but I think I'm out of luck on that one.

Confessions of a Chaotic Mom: First Confession

They say confession is good for the soul, so here goes.

Why am I a chaotic mom? I work full time outside the home, have a loving husband and 2 amazing children, and we recently started our own business out of our home. To say that we're chaotic is an understatement of epic proportions.

So, this blog will be my refuge. My place to process everything in life, to celebrate and good and mourn the sad. To let off steam and to share my love for my family.

It's sure to be a wild ride, so buckle up.
